RESUMEN
El propósito de este artículo es poner en consideración el uso del Cefalograma faríngeo como una herramienta útil para poder cuantificar los espacios y las estructuras del rino-oro-faring, antes, durante y después del tratamiento ortopédico-fonoaudiológico.
Para este fin se describe el Cefalograma faríngeo, los puntos y ángulos a utilizar y su interpretación sobre dos interesantes casos clínicos con características diferentes en cuanto a la Disgnasia que presentan y en cuanto a sus características funcionales.
El primer caso es presentado para mostrar al Cefalograma faríngeo como un elemento importante a la hora de elaborar un diagnóstico etiopatogénico.
El segundo caso es presentado con el mismo objetivo que el anterior, pero además para observar el después, es decir, cuánto se modificaron esas estructuras y espacios del rino-oro-faring luego del tratamiento ortopédico-fonoaudiológico, observando la coherencia de estos resultados a través de la observación clínica y de la Cefalometría de Schwartz.
SUMMARY
The aim of this article is to consider the use of the Pharyngeal Cephalogram as an useful tool in order to be able to quantify the rhino-oro-pharyngeal spaces and structures during, before and after the orthopedic-phonoaudiologic treatment.
For this purpose, the Pharyngeal Cephalogram is described, as well as the angles and points to be used and also the interpretation of two interesting clinic cases presenting different characteristics regarding their functional characteristics.
The first case is presented in order to show the Pharyngeal Cephalogram as on important element when making the ethiopathogenic diagnosis.
The second case is presented exactly with the same aim as the first one. But it is also presented in order to observe the development, that is to say, how much this rhino-oro-pharyngeal structures and spaces modify themselves after the orthopedic-phonoaudiologic treatment, noticing the coherence of these results through the clinic observation and through Schwartz Cephalometrics.
